Within the alternative realm are some extremely viable and helpful medical solutions, but there are also some strange and wacky ideas as well. For this reason, alternative medicine has unfortunately earned a poor reputation &#8211; until recently.</p>
<p>An article published this morning in the Chicago Tribune assesses the degree to which physicians are now prescribing alternative treatments for patients. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is comprised of four main categories: (1) natural products, (2) energy medicine, (3) manipulative medicine, and (4) mind-body medicine.</p>
