Healthy Steps into the New Year
As we enter a new year and a new decade, I am very excited to introduce the new improved “EndoMune Advanced."
Currently, each EndoMune capsule contains 6 different bacterial strains and has 6 billon colony forming units (cfu/ml). EndoMune Advanced capsules contain 10 different bacterial strains with a total amount of 8 billon cfu. The daily serving size of two capsules will provide 16 billon cfu.
Ok Dr. Hoberman that’s nice, but why modify the current formula of EndoMune when it seems to be effective?
The answer is all about synergy.
The definition of synergy is “the interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects.”
Combining these 10 different bacterial strains will create synergy. For example, if two different bacterial strains can each lessen the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, then by combining them together the overall effect will be greater.
So, for the same price per bottle, here is what the new bacteria will provide
- Lactobacillus plantarum: This bacterial strain is a common inhabitant of the healthy intestinal tract. Studies have shown that consumption of these bacteria significantly increases their intestinal concentration and aid in preventing antibiotic related diarrhea.
- Streptococcus thermophilus: This bacterial strain has been used in fermenting dairy products for over a thousand years and has been found safe for human ingestion. Studies have found this bacteria has anti-inflammatory effects. It has the ability to modulate the immune system by stimulating the release of interleukin 10 from immune cells. Interleuken 10 is a cytokine or a hormone-like compound that can down regulate the inflammatory response. Studies have shown that probiotics can modulate or lessen the inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease.
- Bifidobacterium breve: Research has been done using this species in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. This species can improve intestinal digestion and motility resulting in fewer symptoms of abdominal bloating, discomfort, and flatulence.
- Lactobacillus lactis: These bacterial species have been shown to inhibit the growth of intestinal pathogens like E. coli and salmonella. This bacteria ferments lactose to lactic acid, which lowers the intestinal ph, creating an unfriendly environment for many of the bacteria that cause infectious diarrhea. In addition, they produce bacteriocins which are compounds that kill harmful bacteria.
Bottom line, combining the 10 probiotic bacteria into one probiotic product has a better chance at:
- Alleviating the symptoms of IBS
- Preventing antibiotic related diarrhea
- Lessening the immune mediated disorders of inflammatory bowel disease, eczema and other skin conditions like psoriasis
I hope you find that EndoMune Advanced will be even more effective in maintaining your intestinal health and lessening any ongoing symptoms. Just think of the intestinal synergy that will occur every time you take your EndoMune capsules!
As long as I am mentioning the new year and a new product, don’t forget that we now have the children probiotic, EndoMune Junior.
In the last two newsletters, I discussed the benefits of probiotics for children. I have had the opportunity to talk with many pediatricians and other health care providers of children. Most of them are now comfortable recommending probiotics. EndoMune Junior has been very will received.
Finally, you may be interested in looking on the EndoMune website for store locations. A number of new pharmacies have been added to the list both here in San Antonio and now in Austin. We are now working to increase the retail sites across the nation.
Thank you for all your support in emails and EndoMune purchases this last year. The positive feedback has been terrific. It is very gratifying to learn that EndoMune has made a significant improvement in your health issues
Best wishes for a healthy and very joyous 2010!
Eat healthy and live well!
